Do pin prick spots that look like someone stuck you with a pin and blood came to the surface relate to lyme or any co-infections?

Thanks!

Oh thank you Boxermom. I don't have a bunch of them. They are mostly on my legs, and they come and then slowly fade away. Is that what you have?

These are called petechiae and infection of one kind or another is one of the causes.

Upper body and arms? I have never heard this before, and the websites that discuss it do not make this statement. Where are you getting this information?

Systemic candida can cause skin eruptions.

Parasites, too.

Even liver stress issue can show up in the skin. GOTU KOLA is a wonderful herb that can help the liver / skin issues.

Could be from a certain food (or additive), personal care products or bed linens / clothing that may be new or washed in a new detergent.

If a result from heat, that could a different mechanism.

If from exercise or even heat, could be:

I hesitate adding this but, to be somewhat inclusive of various possibilities to RULE OUT:

Bed Bugs might also need to be considered. Their bites look like pin pricks with blood pooling in dots at the prick site, I've read.

Check your bed sheets to see if there are any blood marks there. Bed bugs may not be evident during the day, though. A web search can help you from here.

If so, there are several things to do but be aware that a good STEAM MOP can save the day.

There are other insects that can leave this kind of mark (the kind that carries Chagas disease) but it would more likely be one - few bites or irritation over a smaller area, not a full on expanded rash, from what I recall reading.
