Hi,
I am wondering which lab is the best for the KPU test. Vitamin Diagnostics or Biocenter labs? They both recommend staying off supplements for only 48 hours..it seems they are both random collection and not 24 hours.
Any info would be great , thank you.

I was off supps 5 days. I was tested positive by Biocenter labs. I hear lots of positives about this lab but do hear some people are missed with both labs & get a neg when they are pos. If this had happened to me I would have done a trial of the protocal. Joyce

Joyce - or anyone -

I see that Bio Center Labs has 2 different pyrrole tests; one is a single collection test, and the other is a 3-collection test.

I can't find any specific information on each test.

Which one did you do?

I assume the 3-collection test is the way to go? Probably more accurate?

Link to the list of tests at Bio Center:

Thanks -

Anybody?

I dropped an e-mail to Bio Center Labs about the 18th of November asking for a clarification between the 2 tests they offer, and never heard back from them.

Isn't it the general concensus that multiple urine collections are better for testing?

A friend wants to use Bio Center Labs because she can submit the test herself without doctor involvement. I'd really like to know what to tell her.

Hi Tracy, I did Bio center one sample, not the 24 hr test. Mine was high positive. If people r on medicare they pay for it.Its best to have an md follow u on protocol. Be off all sups for 5 days before test and under stress.I still took thyroid and digestive enzymes.Joyce

Thanks a bunch, Joyce! Didn't know that about Medicare, either - interesting. I'm always surprised by what they WILL cover and what they WON'T. Seems to make little sense.

Is this test the same as PKU?

The three collection test is the recommended test now. Originally the "one" collection test was used by Dr. K's practitioners...now they only do the three collection test my ND has told me.

My friend just ordered the Bio Center test for one collection. What is the reason for the 3. Mine was still positive with one. I heard they were testing HPU and KPU.What is the reasoning?
