I just stopped my abx last week to take a week or 2 break because I have been so dizzy. After stopping I started Smilax from Buhners book to clean the blood. I have started to feel aches in every part of my body and terrible nerve pains. Could this herb be making me herx (even though it is suppose to do the opposite). Confused whether I am just getting worse off the abx or if this stuff is doing something to kill the keets? Any thoughts? -Nikki

Smilax does have some germ killing properties, so it might be a herx or it might just be a bad reaction to the herb. Have you used it before?

I have not used it before, had it tested on me through muscle response testing and i wasnt allergic to it. Dr H's office said it was good to use.....it is just so confusing as to 1) if one is having a herx or 2) if i am just getting worse ! -nikki

Yes I feel it causes a herx reaction in me too.

It activates white cells to fight infection
and also is antibacterial. As far as really
minimizing herx isssues , I question this entirely .

You can research it if you google the name of the herb.

I'm trying to get hubby to take a week or two break from ABX. He is of the opinion he must continue.

I did get him to take a couple of doses of Questran today. Hoping that will help clear out his system.

He has so many ups an downs.......(me too!)

I just hope this all ends someday.

Best wishes.
