Hello. I was diagnosed and treated for Lyme a couple years ago. I stopped treatment before we saw improvement because it was breaking the bank.
My doctor treated me holistically with natural remedies as well as antibiotics. While I may have gotten a little better, I believe I still have it.
I lived in Virginia when I was treated but now live in charleston SC. I really want to see the best doctor so am willing to travel. But the closest locations to me would be near Charleston SC, Savannah GA, and parts of North Carolina.
Please help!

See this recent post regarding lyme doctors in Tennessee and surrounding states (Georgia, SC, and Alabama):
Once you go south of Washington, D.C., there really are very few lyme doctors. The good ones are in and around the D.C. area.
However, they are willing to do telephone appointments after the first 2 in-person appointments, so you would not have to travel here very often. If you want some names around D.C., let me know.

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
They are far and few between, unfortunately. You need to go where they are.
Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner to see a LLMD by doing this.
