Are you taking iron?
My husband had a black stool and anemia and took iron. As he was going through AI therapy, it is gradually turning normal brown color, even though he is still taking iron. Anemia is also slowly improving. He is not on alinia yet, but will be soon.
When he took alinia the first time some 5-6 years ago before AI, etc. he had black stool, and it stayed that way until he had did AI and corrected the allergies/dysregulations and started to absorb better.
Do some googling - there are a number of explanations.
And do not worry - alinia is a safe med even for a longer time. Dr.K. assured me of that again a few days ago.
Best wishes and take care.

My non-LLMD doc occasionally asks me about the alinia I take, if it ever makes my stool reddish colored. "No, it never has, and why do you ask", I say. He said that is something he read, that it does that to some people.
