This post sort of ties into Lymbytes post regarding on-going pain. I do have ongoing pain and fatigue which is so frustrating that I feel is completely related to the Lyme disease. But now I have another complication:
In May I had to have shoulder surgery due to an on the job injury. My LLMD advised me that recovery would be slow due to the Lyme disease and he is right. I ended up not having a full tear in the shoulder, but they did go ahead and take off a huge bone spur which was the result of the injury almost a year ago. I am about 8 weeks post-op and still in rehab. I have about 40% of my range of motion back and the orthopedic thinks this is terrible and is threatening to take me back into surgery for manipulation under anesthesia. I go to physical therapy 3x a week and do exercises at home. At the end of physical therapy my shoulder will feel a lot looser but several hours later is has frozen and stiffened up tremendously.
I am currently taking minocycline for lyme treatment but also am iron deficient (severely) and have thyroid disease. I have heard that thryoid disease can complicate this type of surgery causing something known as FROZEN shoulder but am also wondering if the lyme plays any part in this as well??

Suggest you change your subject to frozen shoulder -- found this on page 3. I know there are several Lymies who have had a frozen shoulder before, but not sure if they still post here.
Have you been tested for Babesia? That is one possible explanation for the iron deficiency anemia.
