I am seeing a new Dr. on Thursday. I was feeling great for a couple months and now I feel beat up. I feel like stopping the Adoxa and supps for a few days and starting fresh.
I am starting a new job on Jan.3. I have to be able to pull this off. I am so tired and achy from ER visit and my vision seems weak?

Nothing says that you'll lose ground or be worse if you stop for a few weeks too.
Do what you need to do for your body and mind.
I take 'breaks' every now and then..just for the sanity of letting my body catch up with myself.
See what your new dr. says... let your mind guide you with starting this new job. Going slow and steady, which ever the pace is, will get you 'there'.... doesn't have to be done fast or hard for you to get better.
Blessings for the new job too!

What made a huge difference in my recovery was taking antiparasitic herbs and salt/c. Parasites and worms cn play a MAJOR role in lyme disease. Google parasite symptoms. Constipation and IBS are on the list. Do a search on here for parasites. Lots of info,

What I have found in my lyme journey is that when you treat one infection, another one will emerge. After several months of drugs for one infection, I would typically feel really good, think I was getting well, and then get hit with something else.
During the slide downward, I would think I was herxing but as it continued I would then think I was just developing resistance and getting worse. It took a very long time for me to understand the primary infection was just changing.
First I treated borellia, then bartonella and now it is babesia. It is like a merry go round. You really need a good LLMD that can evaluate everything you are infected with and treat all of it.
So maybe you need to switch your protocol. A short break is ok but I wouldn't take off longer than a week to reevaluate and form a new plan of attack. I always made the mistake of waiting too long to recognize the new frontline.

I think there is a problem with my esphogus caused by the Adoxa.
The use of oral tetracycline capsules and tablets has been associated with esophageal irritation and ulceration in patients who ingested the drug without sufficient fluid shortly before bedtime. Therapy with solid formulations of tetracyclines should preferably be avoided in patients with esophageal obstruction, compression or dyskinesia. If the drugs are used, patients should be advised not to take the medication just before retiring and to drink fluids liberally.
I am done until I see my new Dr. On Thursday.

Yeah, ask for another drug. Doxy is rough stuff for many reasons.
Were you taking it with plenty of food and not lying down for at least an hour after taking it?

I was taking it after eating. At night I would wait a 1/2 hour before lying down. This is horrible. I called my new Lyme Dr. (seeing him for the first time Thurs)and they actually had a Dr. call me back within 3 minutes - on a Sunday ! She told me to stop the Doxy for now.
