Have period end and can't stop thinking of negative and crying. Ended flagyl last week and went straight on mino. help

Flagyl has side-effects that can occur for the first time AFTER you discontinue taking it.
This is true for peripheral neuropathy.

One of the side-effects also listed under CNS symptoms is depression. I would think that isn't common, but it obviously has occurred or it wouldn't be on the list.

I doubt it's a herx, perhaps a side-effect. Are you having some hormonal changes?

I think its a side effect. I am on it now and know during my periods, its really rough. I am much much more emotional on the Flagyl. Plus my periods are heavier.

I was taking 500mg 2x a day for 2 weeks and then off and would switch to Ceftin and Biaxin.

He recently switched me to 750mg 2x a day and its much rougher than the 500mg. I might ask him to switch back...
