because of having lyme, are we more prone to having shingles? or is just me?

i've still got the rash and it's starting three weeks.

i broke a crown and called the dentist and he said no way are you coming in here. so i called my pcp and they said no appointments until the rash is completely gone and it may be 6-8 weeks.

also i ordered a product called "terrasil" off the internet. it's collodial silver and it really seemed the help the rash.

but does lyme complicate other illnesessed or make them worse?

Absolutely. Still, for anyone with shingles, it can take a long time to heal.

Glad the silver is helping.

I don't know, specific to shingles, but I have had other latent viruses flare up since having Lyme, particularly a few days after starting a new antibiotic. I think Lyme messes with the immune system so that it has trouble keeping them in check.

I accidentally induced a Shingle outbreak by running frequencies for the XMRV virus, in my wife.

I then ran the frequencies for Herpes Zoster and they went away in the next few days.

Another person has also eliminated his Shingles, and has for now eliminated his Ramsey Hunt Syndrome symptoms. He is waiting to see if it holds over time.

Some antiviral drugs can stir up Herpes Zoster virus and will trigger Shingles, but they can come at most any time. I would agree a compromised immune system does not help matters.

Randibear,

I currently know of 4 people with shingles. Only one has Lyme. (me!)

One woman I know has it so bad she has been hospitalized.

Shingles can get anyone, especially someone with a compromised immune system.

I got shingles WHILE ON anti-virals. Go figure.

I feel your pain though.....shingles are NOT fun.

Like LightAtTheEnd, I get flares of my opportunistic infections when I start a new protocol. So does my husband. It's common to get other infections during Lyme and Lyme treatment.

Shingles is miserable, but it will clear up. I'm glad the silver is helping.

i ordered a product called "terrasil" online like i mentioned. it costs about 24 bucks for a small jar.

within two days of using it twice a day the numbness and burning pain in my left leg was gone. another couple of days and the stinging in my back was greatly reduced.

please do order a jar for him. it does work.

i talked to my dr's office today and they said at long as i have even a hint of a rash no appts. normally 6-8 weeks. egads...
