Daughter had yeast in esophagus and was treated with nystatin. Aug/Sept.
Took a few tablets of Diflucan, but had to stop as LLMD thought some of the side effects were herx related.
Shortly after stopping Diflucan was diagnosed by Pediatrician with chest inflammation.
My daughter;s chest is tender to the touch and she says it feels like she is not breathing. Been ongoing for almost two months. Only improved very slightly on Biaxin, but had to stop Biaxin per LLMD due to a different issue.
We go back to LLMD after Thanksgiving.
I am wondering now if this is yeast in her resp. tract.?
I am thinking of giving her Diflucan but only 50mg every other day as Herx was too strong before on 100mg a day.
Just looking to give her relief. Chest xray clear, oxygen 100%. Lungs clear.
This is one of her most bothersome symptoms last few weeks.
When she had yeast in esophagus her neck was tender to the touch, her chest is also tender to the touch and she is so bothered by the breathing ( feels like not breathing)
I have called the LLMD and I think they are just not getting the issue at hand, but today I finally thought of the yeast possibility.
Anyone ever have problems with yeast in Resp. system... if so how to treat, symptoms etc.
Many thanks

Jane,
How did the Ped diagnose chest inflammation when lungs were in tact? What is chest inflamation?
Sometimes I think doctors just throw out words that sound good but are questionable. Have to say something when they don't know what it is. I wish they would admit they were clueless.
I keep coming back to Babesia. Maybe Duncani, if not microti. If you have not been on treatment for this I would beg your LLMD to do a trial of it to see if some of this goes away.
Hugs

Hi 2roads,
Yes, will be discussing Babs with her LLMD in two weeks. Thanks for the reminder.
I guess the cartilage in chest is inflammed, Costochondritis, said viral, but read this is common in Lyme.
I really think it may be yeast. Going to continue with low dose Diflucan and hope for some positive improvement.
Thanks,

I think is important to have on board all the time something for both of them during treatment for lyme with antibiotics.
Monolaurin olife leaf extract, oregano oil, garlic are just some of the things that work for both viruses and yeast also kill bacteria and parasite .
Lozenge probiotics work very well to klean mouth yeast.
She should take a lots of probiotics in generalwith alot of strains and billions of good bacteria.
It is important to brush your teath and tongue after each meal and put the brush on in liquid to disinfection solution all the time when you dont yuse it.
And youse one of either nystatin ore diflucane ask your LLMD.
The symptoms that you mention could be from babesia to .
Take care
