I too had increase in all my symptoms especially pain when I began Cortef. Have tried several times to take lower doses. Do not seem to be able to tolerate it right now.

Hum... Did not have that. I recently started on 5mg.s a day and don't notice any change one way or the other.

I would not take it unless it was helping to alleviate pain or other issues. That is what it is supposed to do.
And I would also not take it unless you have 'verified' adrenal problems.
That's just me.

Thanks to everyone...
I took it again today and actually don't have the same level of pain.....
just a little dizzy....maybe it just takes a little time to adjust to it...I know it took my body a little while to adjust to higher doses of Vitamin D...(i had pain at first but then felt much better)....Both the Cortef and Vitamin D modulate the immune system so it's interesting I had similar reactions to them....

Bugg, your PM is full.
I never tried Cortef, but had weird stuff happen on other steroids that aren't 'supposed' to cause any harm.
