I have heard that one visiting Mexico and Costa Rica can buy antibiotics at little cost and even without a prescription.

Is this true ? Also, can someone give some price comparisons?

Can you give me an idea of what kind of price difference we are talking about?

For instance what would 30 zithromax pills 500 mg each cost in Costa Rica? Suprax?

The price is about the same or maybe more in Costa Rica as in the USA (for zithro at least- at one place that was checked).

No prescription was needed to purchase it.

in Mexico, you now need to have a mexican Dr's prescription and need to be there to pick it up and take it across the boarder....at least if you're declaring it. I am not sure what the price difference is.

I thought medsmex could ship to the US and without a prescription. I could be wrong though. Shahbah keep us posted on your ceftriaxone search would you? I would guess some European/Indian online pharmacies would ship it over to North America

Really??? When did this change as far as needing an RX from a Mexican doc? I was in Mexico in April 2010, no Rx was needed then and I brought home a boat load of Bicillin....TS
