if you have lyme and get another illness, like me, getting diverticulitis, and now having to go on flagyl 500 twice a day plus biaxin, 500 twice a day?

how do you deal with these dosages?

i mean a doctor gives you a high dose of something to treat some other illness but you have lyme?

do you tolerate these high doses and tough it out, or start at low doses and hope they cure whatever you have?

like say you get a sinus infection and have to take high doses or some abx? how will that effect your lyme?

am i making any sense? LOL....

You are making sense, randibear, but I don't really have an answer.

I'm on Doxy and Rifampin, and I know I've had both sinus and ear infections during the course of treatment.

I really haven't gone to the doctor (GP) much because she doesn't approve of my lyme tx, and I get tired of her looking askance at me.

She wouldn't give me anything else anyway because of "all" the drugs I'm on already.

I've often worried about what would happen if I would need something different; would my GP give it to me or not?
