This is probably just a coincidence, but I've had a big flare in Lyme symptoms since the solar flare last week, and I'm wondering whether anyone else has experienced the same thing.

I looked at some old posts, and TF has mentioned a couple of times that his/her LLMD said that he has noticed that he hears from former patients who have long stopped treating when there is a solar flare, so maybe there is some kind of connection.

I've been off antibiotics since last August because of a c. diff infection, but I've been doing pretty well. Still dealing with the never-ending fatigue, but I'm getting my strength back (between the c. diff and what I'm almost sure was a low magnesium problem, it really knocked me for a loop).

However, the middle of last week I had an anxiety attack out of the blue for no reason (hadn't had one of those since I was in the midst of the c. diff infection) and the following day I had muscle and joint pain, shooting pains and tingling and numbness in my legs and feet, and I still haven't felt great the last few days. Early this morning I had a pretty bad hypoglycemic attack, and those also seem to hit me during a Lyme flare.

So, has anyone else noticed an increase in symptoms since last week?

I'm sure Elizza811 will have plenty to say on the topic. [Smile] I don't track them so I can't correlate stuff like this. It's not like there's a damn thing I can do anyways unless I can stop the space/time continuum.

I can tell you I began having major anxiety, depression, deathwish feeling last Wednesday and was hoping to God it was just a herx (began zith, Omnicef) about 2 wks prior) So, yeah, major increased symptoms since last week but mostly the severe depression & axiety symptoms. So pls tell me what is a solar flare, (maybe I was not herxing after all)

Yep, I had another 'sleep seizure' with that solar flare - at least that's what I'm thinking happens when I wake up not knowing what day it is, what I'm supposed to be doing, unable to remember what I did the day before...

I still didn't get my 24-hour EEG results, but I'm certain solar and geomagnetic activity are both 'triggers' for me. I check the following websites daily and even know before checking it when something big or at least different is going on. I pulled this from my seizure post...

Space Weather Archives (Click on 'Currently in Effect):
http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/alerts/archive.html#2006

Space Weather - Sunspot Page:
http://spaceweather.com/

...solar 'extremes' - meaning disappearing or zero sunspots, or conversely, huge 'loud' sunspots producing radio bursts and X-ray solar flares seem to be seizure triggers for me.

Space Weather Now:
http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/SWN/index.html

...'zero dynamic pressure' after a long period of positive pressure seems to trigger them in me, especially if it's zero dynamic pressure and neutral...that's when I feel my worst and my seizures are of the memory-loss type.

Todays Space Weather:
http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/today2.html

...when the 'electron flux' blue line goes 'jaggedy blue', I'm more likely to seizure; but this last time I seizured, the 'proton flux' line actually began to climb as well, and this was my worst seizure yet.
