Soas some of you may recall, my wife has been having mild lyme-like symptoms off and on for the past 8 months or so. She usually feels fine, but every now and then there is a flare. When she has a flare, it is primarily pain in the small joints of her fingers, wrists and elbows.
Looking at Dr. Bs entire list of symptoms, she doesnt have anything except for this occasional joint pain.
She had a big flare a few weeks ago, so she went to see my LLMD. We are considering having a 3rd child and didnt want to risk anything in case it was lyme.
My LLMD didnt think it was lyme as she only had the joint pain / inflammation and her family has a history of Rheumatoid Arthritis. But..she did a battery of bloodwork just to verify. We got the call yesterday that her My Lyme Immune ID test came back positive.
Sosounds like she is going to get the standard pregnancy protocol of Zith / Omnicef (per Dr. Js recommendations.) We will follow the guidelines.
While Im not happy about my wife also having lymeIm thankful we at least found this out now, before she was pregnant. Otherwise, she could have gotten much worse over time like so many of you have described with your stories (Sixgoofy, etc) Plus now she will be on appropriate treatment should she get pregnant.
Im also thankful that, compared to others, she has a very mild case of lyme. Glad we are catching it now.

Could it be that she has been exposed to lyme through you, and not actually positive?
I'm not familiar with the lyme immune ID you mentioned. What is that, and who is it through?
