I always thought we ALL have a form of this in one way or another, but since puberty and all the years following it, this has grown to be a real issue.
I saw the thread someone posted on OCD and wondered if this is another Lyme-induced off-shoot of that.
Some days I'm ok with my appearance and other days I feel I just look weird or plain or unattractive. When people compliment me I think they either must be out of their mind or just trying to be polite.
I work in an industry that puts pressure and stress on one to keep a good appearance. That has *something* to do with it, but I really think I got myself involved in this work to feed my insane and unrealistic need to alter myself.
I get bored with myself easily and wonder if I'll ever be content with (what's left of) what God gave me.
