Ever since I got sick I have had the worse anxiety, depression and rage. Is it the lyme or possibly the coinfections? Does it get better? I find I've been a little worse ever since I began antibiotics. I'm not sure if I should ask for something to take the edge off. I have Ativan for my really anxious times, but I try not to take it. Any suggestions? Does it get better?

Yes..it gets better.
Before I was diagnosed I had terrible anxiety for 4-6 months. and I am NOT an anxious person.
This is usually Bart but can also be lyme.
GOod news is...today my anxiety is GONE.

In my experience, this is all from Bartonella. My anxiety, depression, and rage went away with Bartonella treatment, Rifampin/Zith.

What do you do if you have reactions to zith?

I believe Zith can be replaced with Biaxin. Or doxy maybe. A friend of mine had a reaction to Zith (heart race stuff) and her LLMD put on 1/2 dose which she is handling just fine.

I am newly being treated with abx, but will second the magnesium recommendation. I've been using it for months and have definitely seen a difference in these particular symptoms while using magnesium.
I'm sorry I can't answer the part about co-infections (yet) or taking ativan.

In addition to the magnesium, yes, for heaven's sake do ask for something to relieve the anxiety, depression, and rage. It's not conducive to healing to have to go through this much suffering.
There are supplements that can help, 5-HTP, L-theanine, and sam-e. The sam-e helps with depression, but might make the anxiety worse.
But if these aren't enough, don't hesitate to ask for meds for it.
And do lots of detox---the neurotoxins cause a lot of the problems.

I don't think I detox enough. Any suggestions? What's your protocol? I can't drink lemon water because of the acid.
