I'm about a week in to the Protocol. My Zinc intake is 90mg/day.

I have held my Lyme protocol for 2 weeks now as I was in a massive Herx and decided to try this as it just seemed like all I did was Herx Herx Herx and get worse worse worse.

So, now I'm not killing anything, but I feel like I'm Herxing and it can only be from KPU.

Not alot out there on patient experience other then "It was tough" or "It's rough". So, to put my mind at ease, I thought I'd ask if anyone else has Herxed on PKU.

Thx...

Gary

I would like to know about herxing etc on KPU.

Our daughter is a few days into this treatment and seems to have more pains etc in stomach, side of abdomen.

What binders are you using Gary?

We have one that has charcoal, Zeolite and some others in each capsule. Plan on starting the binders tonight.

Good luck

I've seen all kinds of warnings that this can be very hairy, and that no one should attempt it without a doctor's supervision. MANY patients have reported big escalations in symptoms. I'm not sure, but I think some have had to stop.

That would tell me that bad reactions are common.

In my opinion, you are going way too fast!

More is NOT better.

Your body can only take so much at once.

I am willing to bet if you were to muscle test for zinc, you would only test for 20-30mg a day. If that!

My son and I were both muscle testing once a week for the first 6 weeks... now we go every other week. Sometimes I wish I could test daily! Gotta learn!

I am up to 135 and I have been doing this 3 months. My son is taking 65mg a day.

He started at 10mg/day (70 lbs)
I started at 22 mg/day (140lbs)

We increase our other vitamins in ratio with the zinc. That way the body is never artificially deficient.

Two weeks ago was the first time we tested positive for needing copper.

We are also doing 3 days on and 3 days off of oral chelation using Andrew Cutler's protocol described in the book "Amalgam Illness"

The protocol is supposed to take 6-8 months. It is not a quick fix -- get it over thing where you just hammer your body with zinc and get it out faster.

The zinc is pushing heavy metals out into your system. You push that stuff out too fast you're gonna get brain damaged!

Try to balance the queasy feeling with binders.

If you feel sick, you need to either slow down or take more binders.

Also - parasites and bacteria - maybe viruses too are being released as the heavy metals are dislodged. You need to have binders in place for these.

Binders we use: diotomaceous earth, apple pectin, bentonite clay, (ordered) zeolite

Jane2904 - if she is having stomach pain-- more binders!

I had my little guy on 3 tbs of bentonite clay a day once! Then we added others. You can hide binders in some smoothies.

Make sure you up your magnesium... binders bind more than metals... and you want to keep bowels moving so these toxins are not hanging around in the body too long!

My experience... the stomach aches are a signal for more support.

Look for lower back aches to be a signal that you or your child is in need of kidney support.

Don't take any of this as medical advice.
I am a mom who has done her research.

May health be with you!

Toxic mold was suppressing our immune systems, causing extreme pain, brain fog and magnifying symptoms. Four days after moving out, the healing began.

Interesting, I've been having what I would call pretty severe Cramping, Gas Like sensations, but only late in the day, way after my Morning Zinc.

I'm Using Chlorella as my main Binder. It might not be enough, or I may just need more.

I muscle tested just last week prior to starting for 120mg.

I go back to Kinesiologist on Tues and will ask him to retest me.

I don't see how Zinc could push out Parasites. Metals yes, but then again, anything is possible with this disease.

So, is the abdominal pain a sign of Toxins in the Bowel ? Have you heard of this before Heather ?

Jane, is her pain on the left side ? Descending Colon is where it is the most severe when it comes on, but I also had it going across the abdomen.

Many symptoms were flaring like crazy, but tonight, it all eased up and I was out with my kids for dinner. Weird...

The Nausea is bad in the morning. I've been using some apple cider vinegar to mix it in. Suppose to ease the Nausea.

I wonder if the Nausea is a positive sign of the need for the Zinc.. So many questions, yet no forums on the net and I'm surprised is this is so huge.

Check the ingredients in CORE. It is necessary to have the other agents with the zinc in order for it to work. More is not better! Other necessary minerals for detox are easily thrown out of balance. The correct B6 or P5P and the others are necessary to do the job.

You absolutely need to take binders four times a day, 20 min before meals and at bedtime. Watch for Parasites testing at this point and then the fungi fallout happening when the metals start falling, because the fungi is tied to the metals.
This is the normal chain reaction when metals are mobilized via Core or the correct combination.

Nausea during detox is usually liver overload. So you need some organ support. The only way out is the way through! Detoxing metals takes planning and observing so you won't meet the same metals all over again at a later time (recirculation - redistribution).

People who happen to be allergic to toxic metals have a much rougher time trying to detox. I tried that for years, so did my husband, and it was not until we discovered the allergies, eliminated them, and then it was a totally different experience of moving metals out. I have warned many times about that. Your doctor should guide you! ph should be at 6.2 (urine) 6.7 (saliva). Cholesterol may move up during metal detox (body's protection).
Take care.

I am glad GiGi came to answer first.

I don't use the Core supplement. I wanted to be able to adjust the levels of individual supplements.

I mainly used page 18 of this document:
http://www.klinghardtacademy.com/images/stories/powerpoints/hpu%202009.pdf

Keep in mind that you have to slowly build up to these dosages, increasing everything in ratio. I already told you we started at 10 and 20mg of zinc... and over 13 weeks we are at 65mg and 135mg.

I would abdominal pain could be a sign of toxins in the bowel.

You have to listen to your body.

From my research chlorella is a very weak (at best) binder. You have to be careful with brands too because some contain molds.

Neither my son or I have ever muscle tested well for chlorella so we do not take it.

We PH test too. Although many suggest raising PH... we have decided to keep PH low (already there) to aid with HPU protocol.

I am considering doing another hair test very soon to see how we are doing.

GiGi,

I'm sure you seen Andy Cutlers forums, followers. What do you make of his Mercury Detox ? I've never had Mercury fillings, nor silver, yet I have Mercury showing in my blood.

His followers Bash Dr. K hard and PKU, yet many of his ideas are "The Core" ingredients.

I hope the Chlorella is enough to bind to it.

His people say NO to Chlorella and that Chlorella is dangerous.

I had my best day in 6 mos. yesterday and I'm on the Chlorella from Mercola.

Funny b/c I was using a GNC product that looked the same, they were Broken Cell, but just bigger, thus needing less. It wasn't until I started on Mercollas brand that I had the better day.

Coincidence ? Not sure !!

I'm more concerned about detoxing this crap out. I took more Chlorella yesterday and I'm no where near as bad this morning as my mornings usually are. Perhaps I'm finally getting toxins out and not just circulating.

Can't believe KPU is not a Hotter subject on here or anywhere. People just keep treating, say they are getting worse, etc. It appears KPU is the problem. I need to string a few more days together like I had yesterday to say for sure.

I'm not treating anything right now but these toxins, through KPU and Detox just so everyone knows. My body said stop, has been for a long time, and I'm finally listening.

Gary
