Pondering this theory, as my state reports -0- cases of Lyme, yet shows, on their state website, upwards of 89 cases of Ehrlichiosis in 2008. Is this testing method accurate?
Another interesting finding. On my states DH website, they show 8 cases of Lyme in 2008, yet they did not report them to the CDC!!!! CDC says -0- for 2008 reported from my state.
You can bet your boots I'll be investigating this. Anyone know about testing for Ehrlichiosis?

They are also recording over 100 cases of Rocky mountain spotted fever on their state DH site. No CDC statistics are available for 'per state' to see if they are reporting them to the CDC or not.

I would think that there is even more Ehrlichiosis than reported too. Since when do doctors test for ehrlichia? Hah, practically never. I was lucky my doctor did this, but only after 2 years of crappy misdiagnosis'.

apljack, I know what you mean. I don't understand this either. How can they say there is no LYme here when statistics on other tick borne diseases are so high?
I think I know: it's the sorry testing methods. Maybe they aren't supposed to report it to CDC unless the Test is a positive (and we know how flawed those are!)

CDC says there is no Lyme just about everywhere because states do not want to loose tourism.

Actually, that's the case here, too. I posted on another thread about how the state HD wont'' report actual cases for the sake of tourism. It's really true.
