There is a test that can be done to see if there's enough of it in your bloodstream. It's called a "peak level" test. I believe most LLMD's do follow such high doses.
Translated, this is "1 gram every 8 hours plus probenecid 500 mg every 8 hours; up to 6 grams daily often needed."
So, he is calling for a minimum of 3 grams per day.

I took 17,500 mgs---20- 875mg tablets. You can go way up on amox and need to in order to pass the BBB.

Thanks a lot for the answers! I just wanted to make sure that others were taking high dosages.
And actually I made a mistake when I wrote "1 and 3 grams" in the original post. I knew Dr B said between 3-6, but I don't know where my mind was when I was writing!
