I find it difficult to do even 20 hours a week. I like to at least do that much to help with my bills since I don't qualify for any assistance programs or disability.

I am off work right now, but I just completed nine months of 40 to 50 hours per week, working from home. This year, tasks took me twice as long to complete as in the past, and I made some frightening and embarrassing mistakes. In August, I will begin a PT job from home that will be around 20 hours per week, then in September back to 40 to 50 hours per week, if I don't find something different by then. I have a few other irons in the fire, but not sure they will come through.
I used to work outside the home, while sick, but not knowing what was wrong with me, for many years, but I honestly do not believe that, right now, I could work outside the home for anymore than a very few hours per week.

I'm not working at all... haven't for a few years. Too hard to focus... too much pain, too tired, too crippled (is there such a thing?)

I'm anywhere between 36 and 50 with the norm being 40. I usually so two 8 hr shifts during the week and two 12 hour shifts every weekend.
I don't know how I do it some days. I'm actually going in at 11 today and REALLY don't want to.

40-50 hours with an hour commute each way. I did this even when I was sick. There were many times I should not have behind the wheel

40 on average. I'm a PT in management so thankfully I can hide in my office for awhile if I need to. Understanding organization. Wouldn't have made it when I was sick if I had to treat patients all day.

I'm a stay at home mom. So.. I guess I work when I want. Spend most days cleaning.. Doing laundry.. Maintaing the house and kids agendas. Guess that's work. I need to sit slot right now due to my dizzyness. I also can't drive far.. But I'm not exhausted nor in real bad pain. Most often cranky.. Fuzzy headed and well lazy some days.. Lol. I assume I put in 20 plus hours a week.

Yea it's amazing how we all range in our abilities to work. I used to be able to work 40-50 hours a week before I got sicker. I would love to just NOT work during treatment, i feel like it takes away from the healing that is supposed to be going on.
But, bills need to be paid. We all do the best we can. Wishing healing to us all.

40 hours a week as a systems analyst. Plus being a mom to a 17 year old and being 60. Diagnosed in January of this year, but unwell 7 years. Some days are rough because of the cognitive dysfunction, but if I quit, I feel it would all be downhill from then on. Also, it helps that I have been doing this type of tech. work for 30 years, so have a lot of experience to fall back on. Can't imagine learning new things right now. Guess I'm fortunate to be able to carry on...

40 to 55 hours per week. I work in a policy job. Lots of reading, research, analysis, writing, and interaction (thinking/speaking off the cuff). Very difficult with the brain fog, short term memory problems and most of all PAIN.
I haven't started treatment yet. Just diagnosed via Western Blot about several weeks ago. Sick for 16 years now. Scared that treatment will be worse than the illness and I'm utterly confused.

Axseptants: Treatment is generally tougher. At least it is for me. I fortunately have a doctor that likes to not shock the body so if I herx too bad she will put me on herbals or lower dosage. She does a lot of slow layer peeling.
I was sick for 8 years before beginning treatment (almost has been a year of tx so far).
I feel like a wimp now. I suppose I could work more hours but i feel like it takes away from my recovery when I only have time for Work and Health, Work and Health. Vicious cycle. I want to enjoy life, even if I'm sick! Darnit.

During treatment I didn't work at all. I hired a nanny for my kids and household stuff. My biggest job was to get well. And moving from bed to the couch.

40-45 hrs. a week. Three out of the five days, I drag myself through, and definitely feel it's hard to drive the 1.5hr round trip. But, I have no choice, as I am a single mom, with no family close by. (Besides, they don't understand how horrible I feel, anyway.)
