LLMD said amalgams must come out. She said to use a product called "Heavy Metal Detox" one month before starting removal and continue for 6 months after.
I just wrote it down, thinking I could find it online, but so many brands. Can anyone recommend a good one?

Your dentist was probably talking about HMD (heavy metal detox). HMD is a product out of the UK that is sold in the US by "natural path silver wings." Scott Forsgren, the better health guy recommends it on his website, blog, whatever you want to call it. Go to his blog, you'll see it pictured there.
Be careful with the HMD. I used it according to the instructions and by the third day, I had an excruciating headache. I thought I was going to die.
I emailed the makers and they said, "the headache is from detoxing too much too soon. If you have a chronic illness such as Lyme, you should take 5 drops instead of 30, 40, or 50."
Nice to know that after it turned a ton of mercury loose in my brain.
This is nothing to mess with on one's own. I'm seeing a practitioner now.
Several months ago, I described somewhat of a protocol that I used on the day of removal of fillings and for the nest three days afterward to protect the body from the mercury that is freed up during the procedure. It worked really well for me.
It involves using binders and liposomal vitamin C (instead of the expensive vitamin C IVs). If you search my posts for the word "liposomal" you should find it.

RZR, This is a really complex area of treatment. I would start on binders (numerous ones you can use, I use charcoal and chorella) if you have not already. Then once you have a week to ten days in start the detox.
I was in a similar situation, 16 fillings and two crowns over 30 months. I went the DMPS infusion route because I could not work and keep up with the Cutler protocol. You take the DMSA around the clock, every 4 hours for several days. The DMPS worked for me but others have had issues with it.
There are several natural approaches like Heavy Metal Detox and others, an internet search will turn up several. I have also used zeolites.
Then there is DMSA that you can get from vrp.com that is central to the Cutler protocol (alpha lapoic acid also) and there is DMPS (you need a prescription).
You might want to get tested with a DMSA or DMPS challenge test (and seek professional heavy metal detox support) to see how much heavy metal you have to deal with. Cost vary but I get the test done for about $150. Mercout.com will give you the test for less, they do a doctor supervised oral chelation via the mail.
The challenge test with hair is good for some and doesn't work for others. In my case the lyme was holding on the mercury and lead and it did not show up at all in my hair. But in the DMPS challenge test I was 700% over the max allowable and I had many of the heavy metal toxicity symptoms. This tracks with Dr K's theories about the body holding on to mercury as the lyme eats all the minerals it can.
I will start hitting the lead with EDTA next month. I have some ABX issues that are slowing me down right now.
I hope this helps. There is much to learn about this topic on this site.
All the Best,
MattH
