Anyone have this or have any information on it?
My friend's mother has Lyme. They found the spirochete in her spinal fluid when doing a spinal tap to diagnose Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH).
I've had a migraine type headache and other sypmtoms for two months and wonder if I have this.
I searched the web and found a couple of article linking Lyme and NPH. I was hoping for more personal info.
I have an appointment with my LLMD tomorrow and will be asking questions and seeing if there is a Lyme knowledgeable neurologist anywhere nearby.

It makes sense to me that inflammation from Lyme would keep the fluid around the brain from draining properly and causing increased pressure. And that causes neuropathy, headaches, and Alzheimer symptoms.

Lyme neuroborreliosis disguised as normal pressure hydrocephalus. Danek A, Uttner I, Yoursry T, Pfister HW. SourceDepartment of Neurology, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitt, Klinikum Grosshadern, Munich, Germany.
Abstract A 74-year-old woman presented with gait impairment, urinary incontinence, and dementia. She showed lymphocytic CSF pleocytosis and pronounced intrathecal Borrelia burgdorferi antibody production, indicating active Lyme neuroborreliosis. The syndrome of normal-pressure hydrocephalus (NPH) fully remitted after ceftriaxone treatment. Lyme neuroborreliosis may cause NPH by interfering with subarachnoid CSF flow.
