Due to herxes, symptoms, IDE effects, herxes, I stopped rif low dose and zith. Mind burning in hell with stress and feels like vision changes. Today, neck real stiff again, like I was on, shooting joint pains all at once in different parts. Depersonalization as always insane. Waiting on llnd, llmd appt in 2 weeks and am afraid to go back when my mind is so low. Herxing 2 weeks after stopping? Won't touch rif again, but don't know which way to go. My llnd says?50 percent Lyme cos and she thinks the other 35-50 is hypoglycemia from not eating as much as I used to. How long till rif out of your system?

Zith is a horrible med. Rifampin can be hard on some people, too. Call your LLMD and see if you can go on Ceftin or doxy which are better tolerated.

I couldnt handle Rifampin either. I had the worst herx on that, it was so scary. It took my body a long time to get back to normal after stopping the rifampin.
Even now I still have ankle and wrist pain that never left...my llmd says it's just a coincidence but I dont believe that since that particular pain started with the rifampin.
Minocycline has made a huge difference for me, and also I've been on zith for over a year now though no major issues.
