My husband has just increased his IV Rocephan from 1/2 gram per day (1/4 in the a.m. and 1/4 in the evening) to 2 grams a day. Now given all at one time in a bottle over 1 1/2 hrs. A couple of hours after infusion, his thighs feel shaky and weak. This lasts for several hours. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Emails to LLMD haven't received a reply.

I have never taken Rocephin but I have very similar things happen when I take flagyl. My legs and sometimes my whole body feels very shaky and weak.
It definitely sounds like a herx to me.
I really don't know anything about Rocephin, though. Is weakness listed as a side effect?
I hope your doctor returns your email soon.
