I have heard both. My eyes have been getting pretty bad, and it could be either infection, as I am hitting them both pretty hard.

I have a problem with my left eye swelling, I can actually place my hand on it and it feels hard... this was happening before I knew I had lyme and co's.

I was told by my doctor that Lyme loves the eyes and bladder... (she said they look for it there in autopsy's, but I always thought mine was from Bartonella... who really knows....

My eye has seemed better since treating Bart and it's not happening as frequently.

I don't have classic bart symptoms but my new LLMD is basing that diagnosis partly on the fact that I get a dull ache around eye and my eyelid droops when I get really tired.

I had thought it was chronic sinus infection because I get drainage after starting abx.
