I've had granuloma annulare off and on. Right now it consists of about 5 or 6 smallish, pink bumps on my hand. Previously I had it on my other hand (left hand), now that's gone, and it's on my right hand.
Does anyone know what granuloma annulare indicates about Lyme disease? I've read that they are associated. So, if I've gone through several years of antibiotic protocols and treatment, but I continue to get the GA, does that mean that the BB is more active again? Or is it hiding in these bumps?
Thanks go out to you.

Sorry, I can't answer your specific questions, but, yes, granuloma annulare and lyme are associated.
Here are some links that you may have seen already:

Thanks, Dekrator, yes, I've read some articles like these. Maybe I should ask my doctor for a biopsy of the tissue. But, what would that really prove, I already know I have chronic lyme. Is there some advantage to having the GA biopsied?

I suppose it may help to convince other Dr's you may encounter in the future IF they actually biospy it with the intent of looking for Borrelia.
My daughter had a biopsy of her GA before she knew what it was. The result was it was shown to be GA...end of story.
They did not look for the actual causative agent, probably because Dr's tell us that they don't know the cause.
That's exactly what the dermatologist did...just told her it was GA.
