Sorry, don't know why that posted here's the rest...

I just got a frantic call from a friend.

She has been having strange health symptoms, including sudden sore feet to the point of not being able to walk. Such strong belly pain that she had her gall bladder removed, only to be told she had only two small stones etc...

Over the last couple of weeks she has been noticing small black seed like things in here hair, along with itching.

After a trip to the doc. and being told that she just has dirt in her hair she saw one of the specks produce a long filament as it fell from her head.

She got a friend to bring over a microscope and they started looking at the black seeds, they looked like tiny "beasts" blue and red with front pinchers other wise worm like in appearance.

She took her microscope and ran to the hospital (there were still lots of the black specks coming out and she was really scared.

Well they refused to look at her slides and locked her in the psych ward overnight.

She managed to get out by playing the game and promising she will never bring this up again and claiming she had been partying.

Now she's frantically trying to figure out what's going on and is considering morgellons (sp?)

I thought I'd ask you very smart and people for any advice for her.

Any ideas what this could be?

It sounds like exactly what I experienced as pictured on www.lymephotos.com. I had EVERYTHING pictured here come out of me after using antiparasitic herbs and salt/c.

I had the black specks and colored threads (worms) exit my scalp, nose and I was spitting the blue ones out of my mouth.

Some people refer to this as Morgellons, which is just a name someone made up. I am pretty sure this is the Filarial Worm co-infection that can come with Lyme disease.

Tell your friend that she needs to take antiparasitic herbs and salt/c or antiparasitic pharma meds ASAP. She can visit the lymestrategies salt/c forum and purchase their e-book on salt/c.

If she can make an appt with Dr. K. who treats ALL of his patients for parasites/worms FIRST and Lyme SECOND that would be ideal. BTW, was she dx with Lyme disease?

Hope this helps clear up the mystery.

Gael

Thanks Gael,

I must say this call totally scared me, as she was so freaked out. It was her first experience with the medical system turning on her.

No she hasn't had a lyme dx, but had been looking into it after talking to me and hearing the similarity to my sons symptoms. She was still really relying on her non lyme literate docs to help her. Of course this has resulted in steroids and a un-needed gall bladder removal!

I'm going to pass on the parasite info. I'm sure it will make her feel much better to have a beginning of a plan.

Any thoughts on how contagious these little seed worms are? She has three roommates and is worried that they could get infected.

Gael,

How did you first find out you had parasites? Was it when you took anti-parasitics as a trial? or did they come out on their own.

Contact LadyJenie on this site. She is in treatment for Morgellons and is doing well.

She also got locked in the psych ward (by her own children) before her diagnosis.

She's very sweet. And very knowledgable and active around Morgellons.

Huh, I posted this morning.... but it's not up there.

Anyway.... Ditto to what Gael said. I think your friend definitely needs to treat for parasites.

Also, when she builds up the courage, I think she really needs to either re-visit her original doctor or find an open-minded doctor who will look thru the microscope and see what she is saying (she should bring the microscope with her.) This is beyond disturbing that she was locked up all because it sounded far-fetched. Shame on these doctors for not even looking.

BoxerMom - Another terribly disturbing story about poor LadyJenie. And to have been admitted by her own children! Very very sad. So glad she is doing better.

These stories strike a cord with me. Boy am I angry.

lax mom, It was purely by accident. I was taking very strong herbs from The Monastery of Herbs that all contained wormwood for about 6 mos. Didn't see anything in the toilet until I started salt/c.

It was a complete shock when they started pouring out of me. It was then that I realized it was the missing link as to why I was so sick and could be the reason so many are chronically ill.
