i feel like total crap. i've been on levaquin 500 per day for three days now.
i'm sooo tired, sleepy, headache, blurry vision, legs just hurt, not bad, just ache. no appetite at all, lower abdomin is still store especially on left, some on right, but not nothing like before.
i just want to sleep all the time and be left alone. just go away....
so question is, is this the diverticulitis healing, lyme herx from the levaquin or just the levaquin drug itself? cause man, it has alot of side effects.
and one more question, how do you really know if all these side effects people list on askapatient are really side effects or can they be people with lyme who don't know it? cause some of them really sound like lyme herxes.
got 7 more days of this. wish he had given me flagyl, doxy, or some other crap. why leavaquin. well he did say that flagyl had not worked the three previous times before so maybe he's trying something different.

Your symptoms don't sound like levaquin side effects to me, except headache and perhaps lack of appetite. Levaquin can cause insomnia or trouble sleeping, and you certainly don't have that. You also didn't name nausea.
As long as your leg aches are not in the tendons (back of leg near heel, etc.), I would not worry about them.
I think you are recovering from diverticulitis. I didn't think Levaquin hit lyme, so I would be surprised if you were having a lyme herx from this particular med.
Maybe you are feeling a lot better today. I hope so. Let us know.
