we recently started treating my 8 yo with Rifampin, she was symptomatic of Bart (foot sole pain, psych symptoms etc) but tested negative. Five days after beginning she developed a few reddish stretch marks in the crook of her arm which have faded but are still there. They look like what I would call regular stretch marks. She is not at all overweight and only has those in the crook of her arm. Now, about 6 weeks into treatment, she also has huge purple streaks on her leg, they look like black and blue marks in the shape/length of fingers. They look different from the other marks, more like black and blues than what I would call stretch marks, but they are long streaks. I was curious what type of rash others had.

Yes, I have all the stretch marks, and I'm tiny. They were one of the first things I noticed when I got sick. They are purple blue and sometimes are white. They are on my inner thighs and are going down to the side of my knees.

My daughter gets streaks periodically, which usually come and go within hours or days. Also she has stretch marks on her inner thigh which have remained for a while. Blotchy rash on her breast, bump like a big pimple on her nose. Before diagnosis, she had many ringworm like rashes on her shins. I think all are probably from bartonella, diagnosed clinically.
I always take pictures now.

I have stretch marks but I'm not 100% sure that they are from Bartonella. I've had them for a LONG time. Way before I got drastically sick from my Lyme infection. I'm not overweight either. They're on my hips and the back of my arms and they're white.

I have stretch marks that are purple, and also get streaks periodically,2 ,3, 5 etc which usually come and go within hours or days. That was the first thing my llmd noticed , then all my symptoms fell into place,Now with treatment with factive they appear about every 2 weeks if that. I take pictures of them and send them to llmd
