well been on this flagyl and cipro for several days now.

the chest pain and discomfort are back. inability to take a deep breath, chest hurts, and cough up solid junk. my throat feels like it's lined with cotton.

everytime i go on abx this happens. don't know why. i'm wondering if it's allergic reaction or something.

or is it clearing up bad lungs? i really hate the coughing up crud.

You're coughing up mucous?
What color?
What is your temperature?

Inability to take a deep breath, and chest hurts, might be bronchitis, pneumonia, heart failure.

Heart failure causes the blood to back up in the lungs, so that you'll need to sleep propped up on pillows.
Are you taking 400 mg of CoEnzyme Q10 daily?
This would help.

not mucous, just really thick almost solid crap.

color is good, no fever

just feel short of breath and my chest hurts.

am taking plenty of coq10, mag, etc.

this seems to happen every time i go on abx. wasn't doing it before this. and yep, sleep on two pillows propped up. i often wake up at night because i cna't breath. that's my weight, i'm sure.

When you said, "color is good," what were you referring to.

I was trying to ask what color was the mucous or other stuff that you're coughing up.
With an infection in the lungs, you'll cough up mucous/phlegm that may be tan or yellow or green.
With a viral infection, you may have clear or white mucous.

If it's pinkish or red, that's likely due to blood from broken capillaries.
If you cough up blood...see your doctor.
An elevated temperature would show that your immune system is trying to mount a defense against a viral or bacterial infection.

Keep on drinking liquids throughout the day, as this will thin out secretions in the lungs.
Green tea is good, chicken soup is good.

If you have a salt pipe/inhaler, use it.
It will reduce inflammation in the lungs and kill bacteria and viruses.

I bought this one, but in the last five years the price has come down, and there are other models too.

I worry about you whenever you take antibiotics.
