I started Buhner herbs about a month ago. No abx except once/week high dose Ivermectin. On a much needed break.

My symptoms are now as follows: jaw pain, behind eyes, crown of head, occipital pain, forearms, upper back has painful knots. Swollen lymph nodes that need draining several times a day. Oddly, my state of mind, twitching, and cognitive are better, but I seem to have had a full return of PAIN. Not happy about this.

I never really treated babesia in my years of treatment, just a pulsed Mepron/Zith/art treatment for a few months on, 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. Nothing much happened so we left it. I'm wondering if the above can be babesia now and if it's possible that Buhner herbs produce a herx rather than just feeling better?

Which herbs are you taking? It could be that you are herxing. Since November, I have been taking only herbs (Samento and Banderol) among other supplements and herbs for chelating metals... I occasionally have some of these same symptoms. Initially, I was afraid this was due to stopping ABX and fear that my illness was progressing.

Since then, these symptoms have improved, but each time I increase the dosage of Samento and Banderol, some of these symptoms return. That has lead me to believe that this is from increased bacterial die-off load.

Hope this helps!

Yes, same fear....that illness progressing. I have these symptoms every day.
I am taking Buhner's stuff for LD, bart, and babs. Is it normal to have the symptoms every day, all day? My herxes tend to last a long time.

I would be concerned if I was feeling this way day after day. Did you ramp up the dosages slowly? Perhaps you could decrease dosage on some and see if it helps any.

I doubt it is that your disease is progressing, but you might be carrying too much of a toxic load from die off.

I would try to contact Stephen Buhner and get his take on things. (You could also search for similar questions on site below)

There is also a closed facebook group for herbal treatment of lyme. The members will likely chime in and give you their two cents if you post a question about this. PM me if you have any problems joining.

It sounds like a herx and perhapsyou should slow down - take a little less or take the herbs every other day .

It does sound like a herx. One thing that I've noticed is babs herbs/meds hit parasites. I'm no doc, but your symptoms sound like bart, lyme and parasites.
