Hello all! I just was curious to see what treatment / antibiotic you believe truly made a larger difference in the way you felt. I've been on bactrim for 6 months and monodox for a month. I stopped the monodox because I feel like it threw my heart waaaayy off and made me very dizzy. Although the symptoms haven't gone away yet, i'm hopeful that they will in the next 48 hours (making a cardio visit just to be safe this week). I'm starting to think I need a change in antibiotics. All responses are appreciated!

Starting Byron White herbs (AL Complex) while remaining on mepron, omnicef and biaxin helped me to build my immune system back up and more. I really noticed a change in the way I felt and this seemed to turn a corner for me.

I eventually was able to stop the prescription ABX and continue with just herbs. Now I am on Samento and Banderol. Doing well, until recently adding CSM to help me detox. I need to rethink this and find a better, more natural way of detoxing.

dbpei, have you tried any of the Byron white detox fformulas at all? Just wondering b/c you were taken AL. I have started detox 2 and NT detox from Byron white, but I have had to cut back the NT detox b/c it was causing a strong flare. Just looking to see if you had tried this and see if it helped or not.

No BBinme, I have not tried the BW detox formulas. I am surprised that my NP did not suggest trying these. I have just stopped CSM. Although it started off positively, I had to stop it because it made me feel so bad. (herxing and increased tinnitus)

I am going to start using activated charcoal for now. But I will ask her about the BW detox formulas.

Thank you everyone. I've learned so much from everyone and see how important detoxing is. I will be talking to my LLMD about it at my next appointment to see if this will help me along more. I feel the same, if not somewhat worse than when I started abx 6 months ago.

Antiparsitics are KEY in getting well, especially if you have been on abx long term and you relapse when you stop them. Parasites/worms are now recongnized as the NUMBER 1 co-infection of Lyme.

Without a doubt, parasite treatment has given me my most solid step forward. I never would have guessed I had such a huge parasite infection.

I've been to many docs and have tried all of the treatments out there and nothing worked in a lasting way.

In my opinion Dr. K is the best doc we've got for this illness. He's been talking about the necessity of treating parasites for years. Now finally other docs are catching on.

When treating parasites you have to be sure to be on binders to capture the toxins and heavy metals that can be released when the parasites die.

Check out the Parasite Warriors Support Thread for additional info.

Thanks Gael and Tammy and everyone for your responses.

I'm definately going to ask my LLMD about the antiparisitics. I haven't felt better yet since starting abx. Possibly i'm not detoxing and therefore the abx are pretty much not helping since I can't get rid of the die off quickly before it gets absorbed again.

Am I getting this right? lol Sorry, i'm just trying to learn as much as I can. :-)

Most LLMDs have not recognized the co-infection of parasites. Hopefully that will change amd hopefully your doctor is one that is on board. At any rate, you might have to treat yourself as many of us here have had to do.

The testing for parasites is unreliable unfortunately. Read the Parasite Warrior Thread for some more insight and google parasite symptoms.

Gael, thank you soooo much! You are a savior with all your knowledge. If he doesn't respond well to the idea, I might try to treat myself after doing the research in the thread like you recommended. Thanks again!
