A friend is going through a attack right now and says it's horrible.

She's mad because doctor never brought vaccine up, new she's been ill a long time.. Not with LD...

Now doctor feels bad because she was just busy and forgot...They gave her percocet, another pain med and Lyrica.

Lyrica ,helped pain some but whacked her out mentally>>>hated how it mad her feel....

So what are we supposed to do?

Get shot?

Ask your LLMD, whom I believe is a holistic MD (if it's who I think it is -- if not, there is one excellent holistic LLMD in your area who has presented at ILADS conferences, ask him).

There are OTHER ways to approach this, though. Many other ways, both for prevention or at the start.

I have had such horrible reactions to past vaccines, I will never get another one (other than if tetanus is needed, you never want to mess with tetanus).

After you talk to your LLMD, it'd be great to share the key points.

Search what both doctors say about vaccines in general, and for those with "CFS"

Google: Kent+Holtorf, CFS, vaccines

Cross search all your terms at Mercola's site: www.mercola.com

If you do get a vaccine, there are certain things to do BEFOREHAND that can help.

It is a LIVE vaccine. Proceed with great caution.

If you watch the evening news on just about any network, mute the sound and turn away during all commercials.

Sing a song, dance a little dance, look out the window but turn away from the commercials.

Even knowing the truth about vaccines, these commercials sort of wierd me out. The pharmaceutical companies pay MILLIONS of tax-deductible dollars to scare us.

And remember that the network medical advisors interviewed in the newscasts are - sometimes, not always, though - not much better than puppets, either.

They are paid by pharmaceutical income that keeps the networks going.

Still, shingles is nothing to disregard but there are other ways we can guard against that.

When I was sick with a sinus infection for most of 2012, my ENT told me to put off getting the shingles vaccine until I was well.

Definitely don't get it without talking to your lyme doc. It IS a live virus, so that means your body has to fight off the virus they are giving you. You may not be in shape to fight it off right now.
