I am taking Florastor everyday by direct orders of my doctor. She says it prevents c. diff and from bad yeast growing in the body.
I honestly feel like it is making my headaches worst. I didnt take it for three days, then yesterday I took it and I got a horrible head ache and pressure. Idk how thats possible or what. I've heard of others having a bad reaction. Is it necessary to be on it or can I just stay on really good probiotics?

If this was me, I would talk with my doctor. You might be reacting to an ingredient.

Florastor gives me awful headaches. See if there is something else you can take.

You can always try another brand. Maybe you don't need as much of it.
Nystatin helps prevent yeast from growing. The compounded one works the best, but it's expensive.
You can also up your intake of some good quality probiotics. Some of them even have some s.boulardii in them. Or just mix and match (another brand of s. boullardi and probiotics).

I have just been cultured with Sacchromyces in my sinuses. I have severe head, face, eye, nose, ear and teeth pain. I took boatloads of Florastor and Jarrow Sacchromyces B. Check out the link to the short article that I provided in the thread above.

read some of your posts, xrunner. You sound a lot like me. I tested positive for lyme, babs duncani, mycoplasma pn, cpn, hhv6- etc, etc.
But also have the genetic markers HLA-DR for being mold and borrellia suseptible.
I only became worse and worse on abx.. I do think that they may have knocked down my lyme but abx also feed fungal infections. I have known multiple mold exposures-
You may be becoming sensitive to gasoline fumes or other chemicals- I never put 2 and 2 together until this year. And now it all makes sense.
I was told that mold is harder than lyme to get rid of- makes sense in my case. Maybe something for you to look in to, especially since CSM made you feel a bit better? It's the mycotoxins/neurotoxins that we need to bind out. Finding a doctor able to guide you in mold issues is even harder than finding a good lyme doctor.
Just some food for thought. Good luck.
