Hi everyone..one of the reasons I have been away from the site is that I have had a TON of things going on. A few weeks ago I discovered a lump in my breast. Dr is sending me on Monday to have a lumpectomy. Dr assured me it will be a minor procedure. I refused general anesthetic because I feel it is too risky w my fragile health and I have a high tolerance for pain, so I am getting a local.
My family has a history of cystic breasts...my aunt had fibrocystic breasts. My now former llmd said this lump could be another sign of autoimmune issue, as people w those issues are more prone to potential cancers and such.
Has anyone here ever had a lump in the breast while also dealing with lyme? Did it turn out to be benign? Thanks. Jess

Mine was filled with green fluid and was aspirated in the office.
Did you already have a biopsy and they determined that they needed to remove the lump?

Dr said that this is a lumpectomy but he is calling it an "excisional biopsy" because there is a chance it could be benign...UGH. I don't care what they call it, I just hope for the results to be fine. Jess

I had a lump removed under local anesthesia when my first baby was seven weeks old.
It turned out to be a blocked milk duct. I told the surgeon that I would like to see it after he removed it. It was shaped like a tiny half inch long sweet potato.
I wish I had had the SOTA LightWorks back then, to treat the swelling after the surgery, and to speed healing. I was amazed at how much swelling I had, and I also got a lump in my armpit for a couple days. I think the lump was from a lymph node.

I have developed several in both... Mammogram, focused ultrasound, and visits to a breast cancer specialist have resulted in the "A-okay."
However, as a result of the tbd's, I have also developed lots of subcutaneous nodules throughout my body (esp. abdomen, thighs and upper arms) atop of experiencing grossly enlarged paratracheal lymphs (at least that's what they're believed to be). My body has formed nodules on my vocal cords as well as lymphoid aggregates in my duodenum. With continued treatment, the pain in these nodules has been greatly reduced.
Wishing you well with your procedure!
