On my Western blot I only showed positive IgG for bands 23 and 41. can anyone tell me exactly what this means.Could I still be positive for Lyme with just two bands?

- Q: "Could I still be positive for Lyme with just two bands?" (end quote)
The TEST would not be positive, according to CDC criteria.
However, you could certainly have lyme. Often, the tests mean very little. Still, with even ONE positive band, a true lyme literate doctor would do a full assessment. Even ONE band positive can be an important clue, along with:
History, symptoms, clinical presentation - how you walk, talk, sing & dance. Well, not sing or dance - but how well you are able to get on in life. Reading, recall, tracking conversation, etc. All that matters. How you move in space, balance, too. How well you tolerate motion, sound, light, etc.
See symptom lists & detail about Western Blot interpretation here:
WHY you need an ILADS "educated" or "minded" Lyme Literate doctor (whether MD or ND, or both) - starting with assessment / evaluation.
Medical "models" explained here, as to differences in the ISDA & ILADS models of assessment & treatment - and exactly why it is so very important to know the differences. -
