My Dr. prescribed minocycline and Tindamax for me but the Tindamax was not covered by my insurance. The charge was $490 for one month's supply! Does anyone know how to get Tindamax at reasonable rates? He prescribe Flagyl in place of Tindamax.

Thanks. It still is expensive but certainly less so. Anyone have thoughts about substituting Flagyl for Tindamax?

Flagyl is just harder to take, more side effects in general. -------------------- --Lymetutu-- Opinions, not medical advice!

Contact a few compounding pharmacies. It's more reasonably priced if you have it compounded. You can also use an Canadian or international pharmacy and buy Tinidazole, brand name Fasigyn made by Pfizer and marketed abroad never in the U.S. Tinidazole is the same thing as Tindamax and what everyone used before Tindamax came on the market.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinidazole

Yikes! That's steep! I get my tinidazole compounded (in Canada), and I spent around $60 for the tinidazole, and $12 for the compounding fee.
