Hi all,
Sorry to go on and on with tales of my various rashes...
Seems like I just can't shake some kind of skin issue.
Anyways, this rash starts out like a mosquito bite, only it's not itchy, and there aren't any mosquitoes left around where I live.

It is a red circle, the size of a quarter. Then the skin all around the red circle puffs up and swells and goes a lighter pink in color.
Then it looks like I have half a baseball under the circle, cause the whole thing puffs up.

I'm looking at the one on my arm currently. From the profile it looks like a bicep muscle being flexed. Looking directly on it it looks like a, sorry for the description, I can't think of any other way to describe it...what a cartoon drawing of a boob would look like.

then when it fades... Back to the red circle the size of a quarter. Swelling goes down. And a dark purple petichea at the center.

I have 3 currently.
What on earth? They don't itch, they don't feel hot or warm.

I'm on mino, tinidazole, cryptolepsis and a muriad of sucpplements.

Thanks for the feedback [Smile]

Not to be too alarmed, multiple "satellite" rashes can appear - at ANY time. I had a bunch, each about a quarter sized with darker center.

Let your LLMD know about this tomorrow, though, in case it may be a reaction to certain Rx. But this is absolutely characteristic of lyme, too. It just does not happen for everyone.

Mine seem tied to the later use of doxycycline (after previously tolerating it). Within 20 minutes of a dose, the rashes would pop out. I tried several times later and could never tolerate doxy again due to this. Follow up trials and the rashes would pop out exactly where they had before.

Took weeks to go away after stopping doxy. In my case, the heat and itch was too much to handle. No more doxy for me.

This sort of herxheimer reaction (perhaps) could be lyme popping out at previous bite sites from years earlier - or just random. When the liver and kidneys are overwhelmed, all kinds of skin rashes can occur, too.

Be sure your liver & kidney support is tip-top. Drink water.

Again, call your LLMD on Thursday. They need to know this. They can tell you more and better guide you.

Actually, I would not take any more Rx of any kind until you talk with your LLMD about this tomorrow. If you can reach him/her, talk to the nurse.

Your toxic load may be too much and some dosing changes may be in order.

Hope you find relief soon.

The skin is a major organ of detoxification. To support that, also support liver / kidneys.

LIVER & KIDNEY SUPPORT & and several HERXHEIMER support links, too.

Thanks Keebler! Much appreciated!

Yes, I will email my doc tomorrow and forward the pics of the rash.

I feel that because I have had so many skin problems for so long...

Liver and kidneys may have been overwhelmed for years...showing up as skin manifestations.

But because these look like cartoon boobs... I was wondering if it is lyme or co. (my first EM in 2002 had much better definition and no swelling though-so I'm not sure...

I sure wish that IDSA had taken a research-based approach to lyme and co years ago...then I could just google my rash and read about similar case histories from others.

Dreaming... Sigh.

Thanks again for your replies Keebler and the links for aloe and liver detox. [Smile]

I love Keebler's explanations, always giving good info.

I have no clue what's wrong with you, and hope you do find out, but wanted to mention that for whatever reason the spiders are super abundant this year, many more than I've ever seen. Many people in these parts are complaining about them.

They are so light-footed it is hard to feel them on you, then they are gone.

Just something else thrown in the pot, to use or eliminate as a possibility, that isn't intended to mess up your head, just make you wonder!

Remember, though, just in case an Rx allergy, do not take any more of any Rx until talking with your doctor's office.

You might also read the fine print at the manufacturer's website for each Rx you take.

Also consider any new fabric or fabric treatment exposure, new foods, too.

If you been around any lawns being sprayed, etc. Lawn chemicals (powder or liquid) can travel quite a distance in the wind, too. Notice any neighbors spraying?

Around any golf courses early in the a.m. or evening (times they usually put down chemicals).
