You said the 2nd test was positive -- there should also be some reference numbers. There should be both a range and your result. Something like a negative is less than 64 and your test result is 256.
I really do not think the test has many false positives. The higher your positive number the more likely you are currently infected in my opinion.
I would not trust the assumption that IgM is current infection and IgG is past infection. Something made you start producing antibodies. Maybe your immune system is working better now than it was during the first test.
Do you have babesia symptoms?
If it has not been done I would also request babesia duncani (WA-1) testing from LabCorp. You could have that strain instead and be getting a cross reaction.
If symptomatic then a trial of babesia meds or herbs would most likely tell you whether or not you are currently infected by your reaction.

The result is listed as 1:64. Range is <1:64.
So I read that to be a very low positive result....? Barely in the range of positive?
The WA-1 test was negative for both IgG and IgM.
I have been sick for over a year. Never had a fever. Not one day. No headaches. Night sweats maybe 5 nights in he 17 months.
A period of air hunger off and on for about a month but have not had that in 6 months or so.
No cough.
Dizziness off and on every day for entire 17 months. Just off balance off and on not room spinning or vertigo feelings.

In your situation I think many physicians would suggest a trial of artemisinin. That is a concentrated form of the herb artemesia. You generally take the herb for 3 days and then stop for 4 days and repeat the cycles.
If you do in fact have babesia you would probably have an obvious reaction to the herb. Generally would initially make symptoms such as sweating and air hunger worse and might cause headaches and fevers but within a week you should see an improvement in other symptoms such as fatigue and decrease in dizziness.
And you could order a new test after the herb trial if further verification was needed.
This is not medical advice, just my opinion based on hubby's experiences.

Thank you Bea. I appreciate the advice. I read up on Artemisinin this morning. Interesting info from Dr H amd Burrascano about that. I will talk with my LLMD on Tuesday about it.
