Be careful of astragalus with chronic lyme. It stimulates the Th1 cytokine pathway and can result in an increase of lyme symptoms (Buhner).
We use it, but only at low doses - 250mg 3x weekly. When used as suggested on the packaging huge herxes were the result for both my daughter and myself.
I found siberian ginseng to be estrogenic, causing breast swelling and heavy periods. This is probably not the case for everyone.
