hello,
i was hoping to get some insight into this symptom...
i have been feeling pretty good for a few months, than a few days ago my heart symptoms started coming back.. i can feel my heart beat very hard, but not fast.. if anything it is slower. i have started to get these crashes to where i suddenly get very sleepy, it is usually accompanied with the slow pounding heart.
any idea of what this could be? i know i have very low blood pressure, but i am not sure why this symptom would just return all of the sudden?

thanks

kelly

Hi Kelly,

Do you have a BP and heart rate monitor? It would be useful to get both of those readings when your heart beats normally, and then when you feel it beating slow and pounding (if you can catch it doing that).

If you get those readings during different times of the day, then your doctor can't just listen to your heart for 30 secs and dismiss what you say.

Some Lyme patients get bradycardia--slow heartbeat. If you have a slow heartbeat (below 60) accompanied by low blood pressure, your internal organs, including your brain, will not have enough oxygen.

If your heartbeat is that low, you should see a cardiologist. They can give you a Holter monitor to wear for 24 hrs to see what your pulse is over that period.

I'm sorry this is happening to you, and hope it goes away!

I'm convinced this is esophagus inflammation or vagal nerve inflammation.
