So i seem to be having a serious problem taking cipro/levo and now also flagyl / tindamax.

Cipro/levo give me immediate tendon pain, a few hours after taking only half a dose. I normally have no pain whatsoever, so it is clearly the famous side effect.

Flagyl/tindamax give me peripheral neuropathy within 12 hours after ingestion. Im really discouraged by this, because i have a lot of cysts in my blood which need some kind of cyst buster.
Ive loaded up with B6 (2x50mg/day) and B12 (5mg/day), and B complex. And i still get immediate neuropathy... My B12 and B6 blood levels are trough the roof already.

What can i do to prevent this? Could severe magnesium deficiency be the cause of this?

I do have extreme restless legs but not so much much muscle cramping. I also feel very stressed and agitated, like i cant find any rest inside my head. Every time i try to take supplemental magnesium i get very nauseated, so i never bothered ramping up.

Yesterday i took 2x300mg magnesium citrate because of my tindamax neuropathy, got horribly nauseated, but this morning my muscles felt a bit more relaxed when i woke up. They are usually very restless and feel really awkward.

Could the nausea be a detox reaction from the magnesium? It happens almost instantly, like 10mins after drinking the mag citrate.

What would be wise to do?

I have ordered some, just to see what it will do. But it will take 2-3weeks for shipment. Im not sure about it since only Limetoo seems to promote it on this forum?
Also wouldnt magnesium IV or IM be more effective?

Yes, nausea is a possible side-effect specifically of Mag Citrate.

Magnesium Glycinate may be more well-tolerated.

Hi S13. I didn't notice you were in the Netherlands. I am a new user of the remag. It's been about a month. I started after a few weeks of flagyl and Cipro for a gut issue and I was noticing some tendon pain and weakness... So I was worried. I have chronic fibromyalgia like pain.

My first day of using the remag I felt like had taken a muscle relaxer without the grogginess. It has not been as dramatic since, but I do seem to have far less muscle pain and less joint pain. Before this, I had only used jarrow formula magnesium optimizer... So that's all I have to compare it to.

The remag does seem to relax tight muscles more... But the jarrow formula makes me a bit sleepier... So I still take that at night, it also has potassium and taurine in it.... I know potassium can help with cramping as well.

I would imagine IV would be more powerful... But costly... And much less convenient. Dr. Carol Deans site is pretty convincing. It is also pretty gentle on your stomach/gut if taken with food.

I like that she suggests other mag products in addition to her own. I might try the jigsaw time released next purchase as it also has the necessary b vitamins in it.

We are all different though.

SL13, YES, magnesium deficiency could cause it.. but ... Those drugs also DEPLETE magnesium. They SEVERELY deplete the magnesium.

Not many here have tried the ReMag, but it will catch on eventually. It's a rather new product. I think it's about 2 1/2 yrs old and I've been taking it 1 1/2 years. It's really incredible.

85% of the population is mag deficient. For those of us who take a lot of medications, I would say that number would be 99%.

Why? Because most drugs deplete magnesium.

kudzu .. Zigzaw is pretty good too. I cAn't take it because I don't tolerate Vit C. (at all)

Thank you all for your answers!
I will see how the remag works.

Ive read the story about remag being better than IV, but im a bit skeptical about that. Why isnt everybody using this form of magnesium if it works so great?

Cant wait to receive mine!
I have also ordered some of that Mag-tab SR that Burrascano talks about. See how it compares to the ReMag.
And ive ordered an RBC magnesium test. If its really low i will also discuss magnesium IM shots with my new LLMD.

TBrown2, did you notice a difference after your first dose?
