I'm not sure if I'm dealing with a relapse. Here's my info:

2002: IGENEX + for lyme (not sure which bands). 1 year oral antibx. Felt 100% better.

2011: Received flu vaccine. Bam…arthritic symptoms appeared immediately.

2014: Symptoms worsening. Pain/stiffness in hips/back, tingling arms and face, creaky joints, fatigue, insomnia, muscle aches/bone pain, dizziness. Some days feel improving, some days feel worsening.

New labs just drawn….
Quest Diagnostics:
CD57+/CD3- Absolute = 60
CD 57+/CD3-/CD8- of % Lymphs = 1
CD57+/CD3-/CD8- of % WBC = 0
CD 57+/CD3-/CD8- Absolute = 30
CD57+/CD8- of % Lymphs = 2
CD57+/CD8- of % WBC = 1
CD57+/CD8- Absolute = 60

IGG 30 KD Band = Reactive
all others IGG and IGM non reactive

Other labs drawn, all within normal range.

Should I request IGENEX testing? Not being treated with Antibx with these labs…just herbals. Thoughts anyone?

Most likely you relapsed with Lyme Disease. I had a relapse several years ago with the flu shot, too. One of my LLMD's told me to stay away from tetanus shots unless absolutely necessary and flu shots.

Find an LLMD and return to abx. Herbals can supplement, but abx will help faster.

Good luck.

All the tests show are whether you were exposed, so even if you are in remission the test can still be positive.

What you need to look at are symptoms. If you're having symptoms, then it's likely a relapse.

Agree with SGK: "If you're having symptoms, then it's likely a relapse." (end quote)

We are often our own best indicators. It pays to listen to our own bodies.
