Hello All;
My LLMD just put me on Cedax (along w/Biaxin and pulsed flagyl) for a relapse from dental work.
I understand it is similar to Ceftin? I am allergic to Rocephin and need to make sure it is okay to take this so will double check with doc and pharmacist.
Has anyone taken Cedax? I never heard of it.

I'm not familiar with Cedar, but I've had Ceftin on and off since starting treatment. It really works well for me.
That said,it can be rough on your stomach, so it's a good thing Otaku ceftin on a full stomach. At least that's what has worked for me.

I was on Azith and LLMD added Ceftin. I was on it 1 week and started having diarrhea. Lasted 4 months, very painful episodes 6-8 times a day. Had to be near bathroom at all times. Colonoscopy showed Microscopic Colitis.
Gastro doc didn't tell me if Ceftin caused the colitis but I had no prior gut issues.

I've done fine on ceftin, but I'm not taking that right now. Good to know about the colitis.
Cedax is the new one, but I can't find much info on it.
