My hubby says he wakes up sometimes at night and when he moves, his heart will race and he will get a headache. Usually it happens at the same time.
Its not that he wakes up with the racing heart - usually he wakes up first, then it races. It soon slows down again - he's guessing in less than a minute.
He sometimes wakes up with a headache and no heart racing.
The last time he saw his chiropractor he had 3 places in his neck misaligned. So maybe things didn't stay in place.
Any advice?

- Also look up the books / articles of
Stephen Sinatra, MD (a well respected holistic cardiologist). Not a LLMD and does not treat lyme yet he has a reasonable knowledge of it.
His books are not about lyme yet anyone with lyme can certainly benefit from the information he shares. -

- WATER
Often a headache is a result of dehydration. And that may not have the classic emergency signs but be a low level yet still very harsh on our brain tissue. Pain can be it crying out for water.
Best to drink a little water frequently throughout the day than gulp full glasses now & then.
Also important to have some water throughout the evening & before bed.
(I know, the bathroom may call but the brain will benefit from a juice size glass of water, at least prior to it's work time when you rest and it cleans house). -

- Check every Rx and OTC for side effects & contraindications. Go to the drug manufacturer's direct website.
See if any affect the QT rhythm. If so, that can affect heart rhythm.
To start, you might do a Google cross search with each:
Rx / OTC name, QT -

- You say:
"The last time he saw his chiropractor he had 3 places in his neck misaligned. So maybe things didn't stay in place." (end quote)
Does he have lyme?
If so, it's very common for alignments to NOT hold due to the muscle constriction (that goes with lyme) pulling it back out (magnesium should help that).
Lyme also causes a lot of nerve irritation, especially in the spine. When that's suddenly twisted, it can boomerang.
As for chiropractors, some can be dangerous for those with lyme as the spinal cord is just so tender and spirochetes can go bonkers when things are suddenly twisted.
Best to never suddenly twist for anyone with lyme. Some chiropractors have more gentle techniques such as taught by
UPLEDGER INSTITUTE -- see their website to find those trained near you.
MASSAGE may be far better for reliving the neck issues, working the muscles . . . so that they won't kept pulling out the vertebrae. I did far, far better with massage than with any neck adjustments. -

(ReMag and ReLyte) It will last at least two months in the beginning because you have to begin slowly.
I would pass on the RNA drops.

Thanks, Lymetoo! Why do you say to pass on the RNA drops?
Keebler, yes, he does have Lyme and babesia. His chiropractor is careful with his neck.
He tries to get more than 2 qts of water per day - not counting the tea or other liquids he drinks.
