Is it possible for bartonella to be a localized infection and just attack nerves in a specific place? I know that lyme can attack a particular nerve / area and not necessarily body-wide. Can bartonella do this too? Thanks,

A localized infection means that the infection is in just one spot in the body. Like an infected toenail.
None of the tick-borne infections are localized infections. They are all throughout the body.
However, they can attack particular areas of the body. So, for example, when I had bart, it seemed that it only caused problems in my gut and that was episodic.
There were 2 episodes of burning soles of the feet right before I got rid of it. But, it would be wrong to think that I just had bart in my gut and then eventually in the soles of my feet also. I hope you can see that.
