well ive done it again. I was vacuuming the back bedroom and tripped over the cord. I fell headlong...backwards. it knocked the wind out of me.

it happened thursday nite. I lay for several minutes before i got up. we have thick carpet so it helped a little.

boy am I sore. I have a very large red bruiseon my right shoulder blade. it hurts to breath or swallow.

I fell mostly on my left side. my hip is really sore and my butt and tail. also under both breasts.

God's truth but i hurt. am making an appt for monday when my doc's office is open.

my balance sucks lately. and with arthritis in my spine it makes it worse.

has anybody suddenly suffered falls? I'm getting where I'm afraid to do anything.

Honey I'm so sorry you fell down.

Nothing like falling on your butt to make you lose confidencein pretty much everything.

Are you sure you shouldn't get seen?Maybe urgent care? Sounds like you took hits all over.

I hope someone can get you something like Mineral Ice or another pain relieving cream. You should stay in bed with a heating pad and be waited on after a fall like that. When you get to the doctor, maybe he/she can give you a prescription that will help.

Randi - also sorry to hear this.
I hope you are OK - relatively speaking....
Yes - please see a doctor.
I also fear falling.
This should be a heads up for all of us to be careful.
I trip and stumble way too often. Scary.

Did you hit your head or feel shaken up?

I have fallen before and got a concussion. I hate feeling so fragile!

thank god I didn't hit my head. he has a large safe and if i had hit my head against it, well, I'd be dead. pure and simple.

I stil feel like i have a large kno between my shoulder blades. i get knifelike stabbing painsin my arms and legs. heck even got one in my toe.

now I'm afraid to even take a shower or run that stupid vacuum cleaner.

Yoy've had your confidence knocked as well as your body, Randibear....I feel for you and have also often felt very weak, unsteady and therefore vulnerable myself. Hope you soon feel better.
