back on abx for diverticulitis. dr said clear liquids only. the abx say take with food. pharmacist says I will defintely throw up if taken on empty stomach.

so how in dickens are you supposed to take abx if you're on liquid diet? makes no sense.

Maybe some variety of protein shake? Not clear though.

How long are you expected to be on liquid diet? I hope not long!

I would check in with your llmd and ask what to do. When I had a colonoscopy and had to fast with only liquid diet, I skipped my ABX.

two weeks. I understand ensure and protein drinks are a nono.

I'm on amoxicillin and macrobid. ugh......

there's no way I can do clear liquid with this much abx.

Call your doctor and ask. I hope you feel better soon.

I had to do a clear liquid diet with abx a few years ago when I had a kidney infection.
