Hi there, Brussels or anyone else who may be familiar ... I know someone who wants to use violet ray for a tooth. There is bleeding, and concern of an infection causing it. Any general cautions or thoughts on this?

Bleeding usually is immensely helped by violet ray. At least for me.

Another therapy for infection - wounds would be liposomal Vit C.

Highly recommended!

Where would someone procure a violet ray device, or is this a service that specific dentists offer?

No, the violet ray is an old device more than 100 years old, created by D'Arsonval and Tesla.

You can find it in ebay, amazon, etc for about 25 dollars (if made in China). Some Chinese models do not work well, though.

I bought about 3-4 devices without problems, but I heard of people saying it never worked etc.

The more expensive versions may be more trustworthy though. I now own an Ukranian one, that cost about 70 dollars, which is better quality (but same effect).

Google Violet Ray or D'arsonval high frequency device, you'll find some info about it. It used to be used in medical offices long ago, but the AMA or FDA tagged it as quack and then it slowly disappeared.

Today it' used for acne or facial beauty, or even for more 'strange' purposes (in the sex industry!).
